Planning on getting a Husqvarna 580BTS Back Pack Blower. The biggest baddest mother fucker of them all. I’m gonna annihilate the snow this winter. 900+ CFM at over 200mph. She gives a good blow.

Do those actually work on snow? All the snow blowers I’ve seen, like the one pictured, have an auger of some sort to sort of “chew up” the snow.

For light snow a leaf blower works remarkably well. The one he is getting will blow a hole through wet/heavy snow.

Where I am it’s always a dry fluffy snow. So a traditional snow blower would be useless. We maybe get 2-3” of the dry stuff every couple of days. This would be no good for wet snow but in my region that is such a rarity that I’d rather do the wet stuff with a shovel but have the ideal machine for the other 95% of the time.

I got me a used leaf blower at a rummage sale for $10.00, with just this use in mind. Of course, the damn thing ran for 10 minutes, and now won’t start. Time for some basement diagnostics with my dad, who is better at small engine repair then I am.

Question for you, you from the east coast? Cause luc, Acadian..

Just asking cause that’s not snow if it can be removed with a leaf blower..

If my logic in your name is right you have lived real snow. The kind that you have to shovel/plow often daily.

Lots of car dealers use them to clear of the snow on cars, around here I would say every dealer. Never saw anyone use it on the ground.

You’d be half right.

I’m from New-Brunswick right on the ocean where you would need a freaking front end loader to handle the snow.

But I live in Edmonton Alberta where it is so incredibly dry that a hair blower would almost be enough to handle the snow

You must not get much snow if a leaf blower is all you need to clear snow. This, this is a snow blower.

Normally 2”-6” of soft powder snow each snow fall. Nothing like when I lived on the east coast and would get 4 feet overnight.
